About the metal
Is it real silver?
Yes. Every piece is 925 sterling silver, meaning 92.5 per cent pure silver alloyed with 7.5 per cent other metals, almost always copper. Pure silver is too soft to hold a stone. BIS hallmarking status: 925 sterling silver, rhodium finished.
Will it turn my skin green?
Sterling silver itself does not, but the copper in the alloy can react with acidic skin chemistry and leave a temporary green or grey mark on some people. It is harmless, it washes off, and it is more common in humid weather. Rhodium plating, which all our pieces have, largely prevents it because your skin is not in contact with the alloy.
Does it tarnish?
Yes, eventually. Tarnish is a reaction between the copper in the alloy and sulphur in the air. It is a surface film, not damage, and a polishing cloth removes it in about a minute. Rhodium plating slows it considerably. Full explanation in the 925 silver guide.
What is rhodium plating and does it wear off?
Rhodium is a platinum-group metal plated over the silver. It is harder, whiter and does not react with sulphur. It does wear: on a daily-wear ring expect the high points to show warmer silver after one to three years. Replating is a routine, inexpensive job.
About the stones
Are the gemstones natural?
Yes. Every stone is a natural gemstone, not a synthetic or a simulant. Several have standard, permanent treatments, which is normal in the trade and which we disclose per piece: We disclose any stone treatment before you buy. Most commercial citrine is heat-treated amethyst, most black onyx is dyed chalcedony, and most aquamarine is heated. None of that makes them less natural.
Why does the stone look different from the photograph?
Because it is a different stone. Natural gemstones vary in colour, flash, pattern and inclusions, and moonstone and labradorite vary enormously because their appeal is an optical effect that depends on internal structure. Before you order we will send photographs of the actual stone we would set, in two different lights. More on why stones vary.
Will the stone bring me luck, or heal anything?
No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Every stone we sell carries traditional associations from crystal traditions and in some cases from Vedic astrology, and we describe those because they are genuinely interesting and genuinely part of why people choose one stone over another. They are cultural and historical associations. They are not medical, and we make no health claim of any kind. Buy it because you like looking at it.
Where do the stones come from?
Sourced through our Jaipur partner. We are not going to name a country until we can document it, because origin claims in coloured stones are frequently invented.
Which stones are toughest for daily wear?
Aquamarine at 7.5 to 8 is the most durable. Amethyst, citrine and rose quartz at 7 are good. Moonstone and labradorite at 6 to 6.5 want a little care and do better in a bezel setting. Lapis lazuli at 5 to 6 is the softest and is better as earrings or a pendant than a ring. Full detail in the care guide.
Ordering
How do I buy something?
Press Buy on WhatsApp on any product page. It opens a WhatsApp conversation with the piece, the stone, your size and a reference code already filled in, so you do not have to describe anything. We reply with the price, photographs of the actual stone, and delivery timing.
Why is there no checkout?
Because we are early, and because for a material that varies stone to stone a conversation is genuinely better than a cart. You get to see the actual stone before you pay. A full checkout will come as the collection grows.
Why do some pieces say "price on enquiry"?
Because we have not published prices for those yet. Message us and we will send the price immediately.
Do you take custom orders?
Any of our designs can be made in any stone we stock, including combinations not shown on the site. Fully bespoke work: message us and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can do well.
Do you do wholesale?

Sizing
How do I find my ring size?
Three methods in the size guide. The important points: measure in the evening, take the larger reading, and remember that a wide band fits tighter than a thin one at the same measurement.
What if it does not fit?
Message us. Plain bands can usually be resized one to two sizes. Bands with stones set into them often cannot. Resizing and returns policy: Confirmed on request.
Are the bracelets adjustable?
The Strand Bracelet has an adjustable slider clasp fitting roughly 15cm to 21cm. The Wave Cuff and Oculus Cuff are open cuffs that flex on.

What should I buy if I do not know their size?
The Strand Bracelet, because the clasp adjusts. Earrings are the next safest, since they need no sizing at all. Both avoid the awkward conversation entirely.
The brand
What does Drishtal mean?
Drishti means sight, the gaze, the act of looking. The rest of the name points at the stone. Together: a piece you choose with your eye, built around a stone that does something with light. The full story is worth two minutes.
Are there reviews?
Not yet, and we are not going to write any. When real customers have bought pieces and said something, it will appear on the product pages with their name.
Why are there brackets on the site?
Because those facts are not confirmed yet, and we would rather show an obvious gap than fill it with something plausible. They will be replaced with real information, not removed.
